🇺🇸 TRUMP’S HISPANIC GAFFE: Donald Trump addressed a Hispanic Heritage Month event at the White House and sparked attention with comments about Hispanic Americans being “hardworking,” adding, “You’re not supposed to generalize, but I do.” He also made an eyebrow-raising comment about Hispanics and surviving a fall at the White House ballroom construction site.
⚖️ DEATH ROW’S LAST-SECOND TWIST: Christa Pike, Tennessee’s only woman on death row, was just hours away from becoming the first woman executed by Tennessee in more than 200 years when a federal appeals court temporarily halted the execution. The Supreme Court later cleared the way for Tennessee to proceed. Pike had also declined to choose a final meal.
